'Survival' Materials Offered by American Diabetes Association

The American Diabetes Association (ADA) has developed a series of patient education materials for adults newly diagnosed with diabetes. The first eight in the series of easy-to-read materials are "survival" pieces, providing basic information on diabetes care. All of the publications are appropriate for adults needing basic diabetes education.

Call 1–800–DIABETES (1–800–342–2383) for a free sample set. Additional copies of each title may be ordered in packages of 50 for $5.50 for ADA members ($6.50 for nonmembers). Large volume discounts are available to Recognized Education Programs, to Recognized Providers, and for bulk orders. If you have questions about these materials, contact Phyllis Barrier at pbarrier@diabetes.org.
